Frequent visitors to Niagara for many years, Debbie and her husband Mike decided to make Niagara-on-the-Lake their home in 2015.   Debbie loves the region for all it has to offer:  an active outdoor lifestyle, amazing scenery, wine-tasting experiences, fine and casual dining, history, theatre, and more.   She feels that riding a bike is truly the best way to experience this beautiful wine country.  A friendly and enthusiastic guide, Debbie is always thrilled to meet new people, reconnect with returning visitors, and of course, share Niagara-on-the-Lake with you!

John was born and raised in the Niagara Region and a lifelong resident. He started in the bicycle tour business in 2012. His family heritage dates back to the 1790’s when his ancestors settled on farms in St. Davids on the south side of Niagara on the Lake. Frequent cycle adventures throughout Niagara with family, friends and numerous blind cyclists have created opportunities to visit and share many of our fine wineries, breweries, historic sites and points of interest. Many of these sites are visited during his tours. It is always a pleasure to introduce new guests and those making return visits to many of the unique and interesting features of the Niagara Region.

As owner of Zoom Leisure, with his wife Rebecca, he’s a busy guy but loves to go out on our tours and talk with the other riders. Steve enjoys the area races and spends as much time as possible on the seat of his bike. He is a local in Niagara-on-the-Lake and can often be found riding along the Parkway with other roadies, or up the escarpment in the trails. He’s a graduate of business and hospitality with a passion for everything Niagara. He has loved running Zoom for the past 20 years.

Mark and his wife recently made their home in Niagara on the Lake arriving from the GTA. An avid outdoors person, Mark can be found riding or walking the trails, back roads or streets of Niagara looking for hidden gems and interesting facts. A long time supporter of the Niagara wine industry, Mark presents his guests with local success stories from the many vintners who are working hard to create a world class wine region. His tours are a blend of winery and historical information. His career in corporate sales and client services has made him dedicated to providing Zoom Leisure guests with a top notch, cycling experience. Born and raised in Montreal, Mark is fluently bilingual in French and English.

An avid cyclist Martin was thrilled to discover in 2014 he could cycle for a ‘living’ and guide folk around the wineries dotted near his delightful home town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Quickly he discovered how much fun his clients have in visiting the wineries and experiencing all they have to offer and additionally, the sense they can get of the local environment, the rich history, and places of interest only possible through the leisurely, friendly pace of a bike. What Martin loves most about his job is it’s to “make people happy”!   Martin was born in England and emigrated to Canada many decades ago and moved to the area in 2002. He’s also lived and worked in the USA, Europe, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. When he isn’t riding a bike his interests extend to reading (fiction and nonfiction plus periodicals), collecting diecast cars and aircraft, assembling plastic models, and current affairs plus the pastimes of travel and scuba diving.   BTW, Basil the dachshund loves to bark his welcome to passing tour groups!

Jeffery Meyer

Jeffery is starting his third season leading tours at Zoom and is looking forward to the riding season. Jeffery has plenty of stories about local history and previously worked at Fort George, the national historic site in Niagara-on-the-Lake. As a lifelong resident of Southern Ontario, Jeffery also has a keen interest in ecology and wildlife in the area. Jeffery’s favourite wines are dry whites in the summer (Sauvignon Blanc) and maybe a red (Malbec) once the weather turns cooler and harvest season approaches. Jeffery also enjoys showing guests the new microbreweries in our region! After work, you will find him hiking on the Niagara Escarpment with his small family in tow, or refinishing antique furniture and knick-knacks. He also enjoys travelling via back roads and summer beach days.
